I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California at Davis in 1988, after which I worked a number of years in the corporate world. In 1995, after much exploration and soul searching, I decided to pursue a career through which I could follow my passion for making a real difference in people’s lives. After earning an M.A. in marriage and family therapy from St. Mary’s University (San Antonio, TX) in 1997, I completed a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Indiana University.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of mental health care settings, including private practice, community mental health, college counseling centers, and psychiatric facilities. Through this range of training and experience, I bring a well-rounded approach that allows me to work successfully with a broad range of clients and a wide variety of mental health issues/concerns.
